Winter Formal 2021: Tickets On Sale NOW!
Good Afternoon Norman Nation,
With finals rapidly approaching, consider joining us for Winter Formal 2021, a celebration of the end of the first semester. The theme is Winter in the Big Apple and we will have all of your favorite New York street foods: pizza, hot dogs, churros, caramel apples, cotton candy, soft pretzels, and more! If you are bringing an outside date, please print and fill out this GUEST CONTRACT and bring it to the student store no later than December 10, 2021.

Where: Harbor House DTLA
Price: $85 with a Go! Card / $100 without
Tickets are on sale at the student store and on the student store's website today through December 15th. We will NOT be selling any additional tickets after the 15th so if you plan to attend, buy yours ASAP.
Important Winter Formal Information!

Many students have been asking questions about our upcoming Winter Formal. If you are interested in attending, please read over our FAQ (frequently asked questions) below!
Where and when is Winter Formal?
Winter Formal is scheduled for Tuesday, December 21, 2021, and it will take place at Harbor House DTLA. The event will start at 7:00 PM and will end at 10:00 PM sharp. Harbor House is located at 1000 Wilshire Blvd. and it is a gorgeous outdoor venue space right in the heart of downtown LA near the Staples Center and LA Live. How much does a ticket cost, how can I purchase mine, and when do ticket sales end?
If you are an ASB GO! Cardholder, then your ticket will cost $85. If you do not have an ASB GO! Card, then your ticket will cost $100. Before you can purchase a ticket, all students must first print and fill out the student contract (which can be found HERE). You can also pick up a physical copy of the form from the student store if you do not have a functioning printer at home. Once you've turned in your student contract to Mrs. Garcia in the student store, you will be allowed to purchase a ticket. Ticket sales will close on Wednesday, December 15th. That means you have ONE WEEK to buy your ticket for the dance.
Am I able to bring an outside date to Winter Formal?
Yes! Outside dates are welcome so long as they are at least in the ninth grade and are not over 21 years old. In order to purchase a guest ticket, you must first print out the guest contract (which can be found HERE). You can also pick up a physical copy of the form from the student store if you do not have a functioning printer at home. Your date will need to get their parent AND an administrator at their school to sign the form. Once the form is completed and returned to Mrs. Garcia in the student store, you will be allowed to purchase a guest ticket. Outside guest forms are due THIS FRIDAY, so get them in ASAP.
What can I expect at Winter Formal?
Winter Formal is going to be our most ambitious school dance yet. We've got a DJ, a photo booth, a caricature artist, and more. The theme is Winter in the Big Apple, so we will have all your favorite New York street foods. Here is what's on the menu for the event:

Beef and turkey hot dogs
Cotton candy
Nachos
Kettle corn
Caramel apples
Soft pretzels
Churros
Will I have to wear a mask at Winter Formal?
ASB strategically chose Harbor House DTLA because it is an OUTDOOR venue. That means that when students are in the outdoor areas, they will not need to wear a mask. That being said, you must still BRING A MASK, because we will require you to put one on if you need to step inside to use the restroom or want to sit in the small indoor part of the event space.
What should I wear?
As this is a formal dance, the dress code is formal. Dress to impress, take lots of pictures before, during, and after. This is going to be a night you will always remember!
