Add/Drop Deadlines

 
WEEK 1 - WEEK 2
Lateral Changes
Students may make lateral class changes within the first two weeks of school with no indication of the original class on their transcript. Lateral changes, from the original class to the new class, must be in the same period and is subject to the constraints of space availability. Students will enter the new class without a transfer grade and be responsible for previous work in the new class. No lateral changes will be made after the first two weeks of school. Teacher preferences are not acceptable reasons to request a schedule change. ​

WEEK 1 - WEEK 5
Level Changes
Students may change class levels (i.e. AP/Honors to regular College Prep) within the first five weeks of school with no indication of the original class on their transcript. Level changes from the original class to the new class is subject to the constraints of space availability. Students will enter the new class without a transfer grade and be responsible for previous work in the new class.  No level changes will be made after the first five weeks of school. Teacher preferences are not acceptable reasons to request a schedule change.

WEEK 6 - WEEK 10
Course Drops
Dropping a class will result in a WP (Withdraw/Pass) or WF (Withdraw/Fail) on the student’s official transcript depending on the grade in the class at that time. Students must maintain the established number of required courses and will not be permitted any drops below the minimum requirement.

Students may not drop a class until the next semester unless legally agreed upon in a student’s IEP (Individualized Education Program).
