A gold honor seal will be place on the diplomas of students who meet his requirement.Transfer students are eligible for Honors at Graduation if their previous school work meets the above requirements.

National Honor Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) is a national organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.

Scholarship Awards

Senior Awards night is held before graduation. We honor seniors who have excelled during their years at Beverly. The recipients include National Merit Scholars (top in the United States); the Faculty Cup recipient(s) (highest BHHS scholastic honor); top students in academic areas, in the arts, and in athletics; plus recipients of a variety of awards and scholarships presented by school, local, state, and national groups.

California Scholarship Federation (CSF)

The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) is a unique statewide organization that was established in 1921. The purpose is the promotion of interest and pride in high school standards of scholarship.
Individual membership in the local BHHS chapter is based on grades earned each semester.
A point system that is specified by the State CSF constitution establishes the membership requirements.
Students must apply for membership during the first few weeks of each semester for their work in the prior semester. Membership is for one semester only, but may be renewed for additional semesters whenever the student meets the requirements. There is also a membership fee.

To earn membership in CSF students have to earn 10 (ten) CSF points. Points are earned on grades from the previous semester according to the following scale:

A = 3 CSF points*
B = 1 CSF point*
C = 0 CSF points
D or F in any course, even if not counted for CSF, disqualifies the student from membership

*1 extra point for an A or a B in an AP, IB, or Honors-designated course, not to exceed two such points per semester

To apply for membership students need to complete this application and turn it onto the CSF faculty advisor or their counselor.

To see if you qualify for membership answer the following questions:

1. Do you have any D’s, F’s or U’s? If your answer is NO, continue.
2. Do you have more than one N? If your answer is NO, continue.
3. Do you have a grade of C or above for any class in which you earned credit only?
4. Take your three best SOLIDS to figure CSF POINTS.
A = 4 points if in an honors or AP class **
A = 3 points
B = 2 points if in an honors or AP class **
B = 1 point if in a non-honors class
C = 0 points
** maximum of 2 such AP/honors points per semester
5. Do you have at least 7 points? If your answer is YES, continue.
6. Take one or two more classes (not P.E.) and calculate your points.
7. Do you have at least 10 points?
If your answer is yes, then click here to access an application.
