Work/Entertainment Permits

All minors under the age of 18 must apply for a work permit to work in the state of California.

BHHS/ILC Students, please see below**.

Moreno HS Students, please email Deadra Toribio in the Moreno HS/Ed. Svcs. at [email protected]

Non-BHHS/BHUSD Students, please email Pam Kraushaar in the Superintendent's Office at [email protected]

**To be eligible to request a CA Work Permit or Entertainment Work Permit, BHHS/ILC Students must meet the academic and attendance requirements in the last five weeks of school from the date requested; C or above in every class and have no more than two unexcused absences and/or tardies.

If you are a BHHS/ILC Student that meets these requirements, please email Ms. Reilly at [email protected] for verification and to start the work permit application process. For more information, refer to the California Department of Education website.

For Entertainment Permits, the same school requirements apply as above. Complete the CA Industrial Relations process online at the CA Department of Industrial Relations Entertainment Permit for Minors website. Email your application request form to Ms. Reilly at [email protected] to verify school requirements have been met and to complete the school's portion of the form.
