Course Selection Process for Students

Every year at the beginning of Spring semester, students have the opportunity to select their courses for the following school year. 

 

Students make their course selections by logging into the Aeries Student Portal and adding their desired courses to their Academic Plan. Before they do this, they should review the Norman Guide  or the Course Catalog page so they know what classes the want to take.

 

When the window opens, students log into Aeries and access their Academic Plan. They will see the courses their current teachers have recommended for them and input their choices to complete their Academic Plan.

Once students have completed the course selection process they submit their choices for review by their counselor. All students meet with their counselor after the course selection window has closed to discuss their selections and finalize their choices for next year.

Timeline

Mid January Teachers input recommendations into student' Academic Plan in Aeries
End of January
Students review teacher recommendations and select their courses in the Academic Plan by 1/29
Tech Support in the Media Center and Library at Lunch on 1/27 and 1/28
February Counselors meet with every student 1/30 - 2/28 to finalize their Academic plan for the coming year
