The attachment below lists the common assessments administered throughout the school year in the English department. The department has collaborated and agreed upon both formative and summative assessments in order to inform instruction and improve student learning. English teachers also administer a variety of individual formative and summative assessments throughout the year in the areas of literature, composition, grammar, and vocabulary.
