College Career Center
In addition to its regular counseling program, Beverly Hills High School students have access to a multi-media College Career Center. The Center is open daily and is staffed by a full-time career/college counselor. Students are guided to:
- Perform computerized searches to locate colleges that match students' interests: majors, size, academic competition, campus life, and more.
- Check out videos describing many colleges.
- Research specific college catalogues.
- Take career interest inventories.
- Research occupations: duties, pay, educational requirements, etc.
- Register for LACOROP Classes (Los Angeles County Office of Education Regional Occupational Program). In LACOROP Classes, students learn entry level job skills by hands-on approach, gaining a head start in finding part time jobs as a result of the skills learned and the contacts made.
