Student athletes looking to participate in competitive sports in college must prepare for the college admissions process just like any other student but with added layers. Continue reading for information regarding NCAA eligibility. The Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete is Available

The Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete is now available.  The Guide provides important information and key steps for high school student-athletes and parents as they begin the initial-eligibility process.  The Guide and other informational materials can be found on the Eligibility Center Web site.  To access them, follow the steps below.

 

·                     Log onto www.eligibilitycenter.org.

 

·                     Click on “Resources” at the top of the screen.

 

·                     Click on “U.S. Students” in the notebook.

 

·                     Click on “Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete."

 

The Guide is also available for purchase at NCAApublications.com.

Important Information for Your Juniors

Encourage your college-bound student-athletes that plan on participating in college athletics to register with the Eligibility Center.  This can be done on the Eligibility Center's Web site, www.eligibilitycenter.org.  Early registration helps student-athletes avoid pitfalls that could delay their academic or amateur certification.

Information Regarding Your Seniors

Please send your student-athletes’ six-semester transcripts to the Eligibility Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Also, please remember that the Eligibility Center cannot accept faxed transcripts.  Official transcripts can be sent to the address below.

Are Your Colleagues Connected?

Please have your athletics director, guidance counselors, coaches, principals and anyone who provides guidance to your student-athletes, sign up to receive the Eligibility Center newsletter.  They can sign up by sending an e-mail to
ec-clientrelations@ncaa.org and put “high school newsletter” in the subject line.   Thank you for your assistance in helping your student-athletes!
